DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, PDF, DWFx, NC/G-code and photos of sketches or templates. You can also type a description, speak it, or start from our shape library of more than 90 parametric plates.

Yes. DWG files open in the studio directly. STEP and IGES models are read in the browser and flat plates are taken from the top face. For bent or 3D parts, send the flat pattern as DXF.

Yes. Photograph your template or sketch square-on, with a ruler or known dimension in shot. The studio traces the outline and you set the real size before nesting.

Press the microphone in the studio and describe the plate, for example “base plate 300 by 300, 15 thick, four 22 holes at 50 from the edges”. The words become a drawn part you can check and adjust.

It reads drawings, marked-up PDFs and photos and pulls out each part, its size, thickness and quantity. Everything it finds is shown to you to confirm before it is nested or priced.

Parts are packed by their real outline, not their bounding box, and rotated to fit. That means less waste and a lower material cost on your quote.

Yes. Part-in-part nesting drops small parts into the cut-outs of larger ones where they fit safely, so the offcut inside a flange can become your washers.

Typically ±1 mm on profile. Thicker plate has a slight edge bevel. Holes should be at least as wide as the plate is thick; smaller holes are best marked and drilled.

Our tables take sheets up to 3000 × 1500 mm, and plate up to 50 mm thick in mild steel. Larger parts can be split into sections with a weld preparation.

Quotes are usually back within hours on working days. Most stock-material jobs are cut within a few working days of approval; we confirm the date on your quote.

Collect from our workshop at Unit 9, Heaver Trading Estate, Ash Road, Ash, Sevenoaks TN15 7HJ, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, or we deliver anywhere in the UK at cost.

By invoice or bank transfer once you approve the quote. There is no online card payment on this site.

We work out every part from its machine time and material, then check our prices against current UK market prices for comparable plates so they stay competitive. Handling is charged by part weight, there is no setup fee, and on tight nests we charge the sheet area used when that is lower. The price per part falls with quantity, and the studio shows the price breaks and ways to pay less.

Yes, £15.80 ex VAT per job, so a single small part costs at least that. Every price is shown ex VAT with VAT added on the total.

We check every new trade account so quotes, drawings and orders stay private. Approval is usually the same working day; we email you when you can sign in.
