What we collect
Contact details you give us (name, company, email, phone, delivery address); account details (login and password hash); the drawings, part data, nests and files you upload or create in the nesting studio; quote and order history; messages you send; and basic technical data (IP address, browser, pages visited) used for security and rate limiting.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
To prepare quotes, manufacture and deliver your parts and invoice you (contract); to keep the site secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests); to keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation); and to reply to enquiries (legitimate interests). We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing without your consent.
AI assistant
If you choose to use the AI part-description or photo tools, the text or image you submit is sent to our configured AI provider (for example Google, Groq, OpenRouter or Anthropic) solely to produce part geometry. Please do not include personal data in those prompts or images.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run the business (web hosting, email, accounting, couriers) under appropriate contracts, or where required by law.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not proceed are kept for up to 2 years. Orders and invoices are kept for 6 years for accounting purposes. Accounts can be closed on request.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, ask us to restrict or object to processing, and request a copy in a portable format. Email info@prosteelsolution.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use essential cookies for logging in and security, and your browser’s local storage to remember your light/dark theme and studio work in progress. We do not use advertising cookies.
