About the Nesting Studio
The Nesting Studio prices CNC plasma-cut plates in your browser. Add your parts, choose the material and thickness, press Nest and you see the sheets, the cut paths and a price straight away. When you are happy, press Request quote and the workshop confirms the price.
Ways to add parts
- Upload drawings: DXF, DWG, DWFx, PDF, STEP and IGES, Tekla DSTV NC1, NC and G-code, ESSI, HPGL, SVG, and CSV or Excel part lists.
- Pick from 1,014 parametric parts in the shape library: base plates, gussets, flanges, brackets, washers, stair parts and more.
- Type or say it, for example "10 off 300x200x12 base plate with 4 holes 22 dia".
- Take a photo of a sketch or a part with a reference for scale.
What you get
- True-shape nesting on 3,000 × 1,500 and 1,500 × 1,000 mm sheets, with remnants and identical sheets grouped.
- A live price ex and inc VAT, price breaks for quantity and ways to pay less. Minimum order £15.80 ex VAT.
- DXF, SVG and CSV exports, and NC code for many plasma controllers if you cut on your own machine.
