Tapping drill sizes for metric coarse and fine threads.
How it works
For metric threads the tapping drill is close to the nominal diameter minus the pitch, for example M10 × 1.5 takes an 8.5 mm drill.
Questions
Can you plasma cut tapped holes?
No. Plasma cuts the profile; threaded holes are drilled and tapped afterwards, so mark them on the drawing.
